The BMS13-16 specification covers wire and cable products that are insulated with extruded polytetrafluoroethylene (TFE) applied over silver–coated copper conductors and the cables, where applicable, are shielded with silver–coated copper strands and jacketed with extruded or taped polytetrafluoroethylene (TFE). The outer portion of the wire insulation is fit to apply permanent markings such as laser marking and hot stamping, which are both value added services WireMasters offers. The wire insulation also offers the option for bonding to potting compounds, however the outer surfaces of the cable jackets are not fit for that process.
